What happens if you dont get any response from a Law firm (collection agency) after sendin a cease & dessist letter with a validity of the debt? Its been 2 months since i sent the letter and have a recieved conformation from postal service..

i don't think except for a few states there is no deadline ,but if they can't validate.most likely they will sell the debt to another law firm(CA).if they do file suit you have the DV and C&D letters and the receipt to answer.i doubt this CA would pursue anything if they can't validate.who is this CA?

they really don't have a deadline,but since you received the green card they cannot pursue any collections until they validate.i doubt they can.so they might sell it to another bottomfeeder.
