Interest Charged on old credit cards

I had a Capital One card that was charged off in 2003 that also
I had a Capital One card that was charged off in 2003 that also had a $300 limit. They report now that I owe $2,130.00. Mine should fall off in March 2010 so I'm waiting this one out.
As to whether or not they can charge all these extra fees I don't know. They ignored my DV letter and when I dispute with the CB's they reverify. They don't call or send letters and try to collect either. Its like their very content just continuing to hurt my credit.
It must benefit them to write off more of an amount then they are actually owed so maybe that is why the debt has never been sold to a CA.

If the statute of limitations has passed they cannot sue you on it,legally anyway, if they did you can fight it. That all depends though.
