I was due with payment arrangements friday 1/30/2009. I could not make the payments. I am in Wisconsin.
cash net usa borrowed 1500 paid 712
500 Fsat cash borrowed 400 paid 650
us fast cash borrowed 400 paid 120
ameriloan borrowed 350 paid 420
little loan shoppe I have not heard from them since I defaulted on1/15/2009
what should I do here

Looking at first glance you only have one legal lender, and that is CashNetUSA. You really need to make payment arrangements with them. The others are pretty much at your mercy, you should get your bank account closed asap, then arrange to pay them off, you would only owe them the principal amount borrowed. Looks like you have over paid Ameriloan and 500 Fast cash though.

You are only obligated to pay back the principal amount you borrowed from an unlicensed/illegal Internet Payday Lender.
What should you do?
Close your account asap, if you are unable to close your account, go into your bank and ask to speak with the Branch Manager, tell him/her you need a hard debit block placed on your account immediately! Explain that you are revoking ACH authorizations from unlicensed/illegal companies, and have learned these companies are notorious for ignoring revocation, therefore it is important to BLOCK any withdrawal attempts on your account to protect your interest. This is your privilege, do not accept no for an answer. The following link will provide you important information regarding closing accounts. CLICK HERE

What next?
AFTER your account is secure send each pdl (the unlicensed and illegal) an email similar to THIS (please scroll down to locate letter template). Tailor this letter to your needs, and try to write it with the same basic concept in your own words. You will need to research and locate email addresses/physical addresses if you don't already have them, I suggest that you type the name of the pdl (example: "oneclickcash address") in the search box in the upper right hand corner of this forum. You may also search for addresses HERE at the Better Business Bureau.

File complaints: Most of the time, you can file a complaint online with the following, I encourage you to follow through with doing so, you will need to search the Internet for your state Attorney General's website, however, here are links to file complaints for the FTC, Online complaints: Federal Trade Commission., and the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

Keep in mind that you may not receive a response for days, or even weeks, or, you may receive harassing and threatening phone calls. I have found the best way to deal with this is not to respond or reply, simply hang up.

Side note: If you have paid an illegal/unlicensed payday lender above and beyond the principal amount you borrowed, it might be a good idea to demand a refund and a paid in full letter/receipt. You may or may not get one or both. It still doesn't hurt to include that tidbit in your letter. :)
I found cashnet to be reasonable all you can do is call and show an effort. Communicating what you can do to resolve the situation is better than NO communication at all. It is in their best interest as well as yours to work out the problem. Calling them may also prevent your loan from going to a CA that will hound the crap out of you, call your references, your job etc.

does any one know about little loan shoppe? I keep checking the web site no information on my account about default. no email can be sent no info on account status. just says next payment due on 1/30/2009. I really dont want to call you stay on hold no one picks up. when you click on fee schedule it says error. I have no idea what they are up too. This makes me crazy thinking about it. I borrowed 500.00 (WISCONSIN)I have made 2 payments of 175 each and defaulted 2 times but have heard 0 from them. Any thoughts? Im working with my other loans but am not real clear yet on WI laws. most of my loans came from clicking on my emails so I am going to try the illegal route I filed 2 complaints with the BBB. and am putting together a letter to 500 fast cash and ameriloan.

Yep, Little Loan Shoppe will try and hit you with a fast one. Read your contract carefully before you take action on them. They have claimed to operate as a installment loan company -vs- a PDL when I had them. LLS was at that time never backed by a bank and tried to make me repay $970 towards a 300 loan. NUTZ
