My wages have been garnished for the last 2 years. I was told my an attorney because I receive Public Assistance they should not be garnishing my wages under WI Stat 812.34 but yet they still are. What can I do?

Is this garnishment a voluntary agreement with your employer or backed by a court order due to a judgment? If voluntary, ask your HR dept about it.

What type of debt are they garnishing for?
