Hey you all. You have helped me with getting my letters together and all. I'm from IL. I got them together although I did not have the money at the time to send them certified mail so I faxed them. Now they are still calling me. Should I send them certified? Whats my next step? I have 4 PDL. I have closed my bank account and reopened a new one as well as filed a complaint through the bank. I have all the paperwork filled out for the states attorneys office and will be sending it to them asap. Please let me know with any other suggestions. They are saying that they are 100% legit.

Sandpoint Capital
Cash Supply
Kenwood Services
Upfront Money

Are these places illigal? They where all through the internet....please someone help me and reasure me. I'm really upset. They are saying they can garnish my wages and take me to court. Please help

Illegal lenders can not take you to court nor garnish your wages. They may be able to do a wage assignment but the revocation of that was covered in the letter you sent them if you used the template.

They will threaten jail time, granishing, showing up at your door and taking your first child to get you to pay. They are illegal and there is nothing they can do but harrass you.

If your letter stated to only be contacted via email and USPS then stick to that. Do not answer their calls and if you do answer the phone hang up.

Most legal lenders will abide by the laws but the legal ones ignore them.

The wage assignement revocation letter to your payroll department can be very simple. You just need to have it in place so if an illegal pdl attempts wage assignment ( they cannot garnish because they are illegal and would need a court order) your payroll department has your revocation on file. Wage Assignment is voluntary and completly revocable by you. Just simply state that you are revoking any and all wage assignments.

Ignore their calls.

It sounds like one they could not get their money they ran to some illegal collection agency.

Send them a cease and desist letter.

You can find that that over there ----> under Sample Debt letters.

Really you have nothing ti worry about. The loan is illegal which means the collection is illegal. They can play tricks like that one and threaten all they want. They can not do anything to you.

I called this number 800-542-1048 which kstaff24 listed as one of theirs and yes the recording started off with "In the event that you have been issued a court summons...." I hung up after that.

Tricks!

I would have called the other number but I don't have long distance and even if I did, plew on them, let them pay for the call :)

I have a payday loan as well that does however have a balance. They continue to contact me for funds and I have recently noticed they have put this on my bredit report. When I called the number provided it also said "In the event that you have been issued a court summons...". I am not sure to take this seriously or not. I am not sure what to do. IDK if I should call and settle or how to go about this. Could someone please get back to me about this matter??
THANX!!!!
