Hello,

I have put myself in a bind and am scared of going to jail. Over the last 3 years I have taken out many pay day loans at the same time. I have 6 of them out now and i can't pay them when they are due. I tried to make payment arrangements but they want too much. I signed that I don't have any other loans out there.

What can I do. I live in Arizona

First of all, please list the following information so we can help you.
-Names of each pdl company.
-Whether they are store front or Internet.
-How much you borrowed.
-How much you paid so far.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but there is only one sure way to stop the withdrawals, and that is to close your account. If that isn't an option, then tell the bank to put a hard debit block on your account. Before you close your account, read this information at the link below. http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/close-account.html

Please do not let any of these pdl's know you are going to close your account, until AFTER you have done it!

I assume these are all store fronts?

Have you defaulted on all or some of them?

If you have not defaulted then I would just take one or two at a time and get the EPP, Extended Payment plan. At least that is a start. Once one is paid then move on to the next one.

The others will just have to wait. Right now the most they can do file a civil suit but most don't. They usually just turn it over to in house collections and then they harrass you for the money.

If you do default they will deposit the check you wrote them so you will have to stop payment on them or they will hit your bank and bounce. Remember if they do bounce they can attempt to put that check in again and when you least expect it.

The bank may charge you a fee for the stop payment but that is better than the check hitting some weeks down the road and it clearing out your bank account. Which has happened to me.

i know from experiance checksmart and speedy cash will do an epp. they were some of the easiest we delt with. and payday loan store wont do an epp, they are kind of rude and nasty, i remember sitting and waiting and the girls would be sitting there leaving rude messages and yelling at people on the phone, didnt give off a good impression, the question i had about them is they said they are cfsa in chicago, so does that mean they are an illegal storefront here in arizona

when we asked for an epp the girl just laughed and said they dont do that. we asked if they were cfsa and was like yeah in chicago then looked at us like we were dumb. most of my mess was online so i only dealt with a few store fronts and i dont know how the whole operation is supposed to operate with them as far as being licensed and stuff.
