Unenforceable debt? Living abroad.

Hi..we have just been notified that GE Money in the UK are about to pass my wife's store card account owing 430 uk pounds to a US firm called Bluestone Law. We were under the impression that the debt could not just be ' exported' like that without having any CCJ in the UK? So, what can we do about these people other than the CEASE COMMUNICATION letter? I assume that they cannot report the debt to any CRAs ?

Well isnt GE Money in the US too?? Dont see why they couldnt persue you here too. I have heard of private student loans being pursed across the pond so I dont see why this would be difficult.
