I see a lot of people have success in fighting the good fight against payday lenders. You have all encouraged me to battle.

I started my fight today!! But have a few questions.
I have 3 payday loans out, total balance of $1300 and paying $390 every 2 weeks in "interest". According to the laws in my state I have overpaid those loans by $1000's (I have reloaned with several of them). I just can't do it anymore!!

500 fastcash
integrity advance
impact cash

1. How successfull is this? 100% of the time? 50% of the time? I sent them all emails to customer service with the laws governing my state as well as how much I have paid to date, my overpayment, demand of refund, ach revokation (sp), pulled auth to call refrences or my place of employment, included excerpts from Fair Isaac, etc. Will this work??

2. Will this affect my credit report, not that I have good credit, but just curious?

3. Even though I sent in all that information will they still call my work, refrences?

4. How soon will I hear from them?

5. Odds of getting refund?

Thank you all for your help and wish me luck!!

first a few questions.

how much borrowed from each?
how much debited total from each?
what state are you in?

there is a sticky in this forum about dealing with illegal pdl's.i can tell you that 500fastcash will fight you on there illegality.so will integrity advance.most illegal pdl's will call your job and references.as long as your account is secure they can't do anything but call and stupidly threaten.you said you overpaid these by thousands.how long did you pay these?on the refund issue.500fastcash since they are part of MTE i wouldn't count on a refund, and it might take AG complaints to get a PIF.the other two i haven't heard of as far as giving refunds goes.hope that cleared some things up.

500fastcash borrowed over $3k and have paid $4300+ dating back to 2007 and current balance is $500

Integrity borrowed $300 paid $360 (not worried about refund) and current balance is still $300

Impact cash borrowed $1550 (dating back to 2007) and have paid $2300+ Current balance is $500

I reside in Maine. Laws state no matter where the loan is considered by payday loan company they must follow state of maine law. Loans over $250 they can only charge $25.

Thank you for your help.
I wouldn't care if I didn't get any refudns at all, to be honost, I just want them marked Paid in Full!!

okay,i take it your bank account is either closed or secured so they can't debit.if not the letters mean nothing as they can still debit or attempt to debit.that is the first step to breaking the pdl chains.

speak to the manager only.explain the situation.they might set up a new account right away and close your current one.speak to the manager though no regular employees.

you are not alone in this. i have defaulted on 3 of my 5 PDL. i could not do it anymore. i fell so far behind on everything just trying to keep my PDL payed. i too have payed thousands of dollars in interest fee's. it is embarresing to even talk about it to anyone. i am now negative in my account and i just don't know what to do and the phone calls from these people are bad enough to make me want to just sit and cry.
