Please help w/ Discover card lawsuit

I've been sued by Discover Card and the lawyers want me to pay $400 a month which I can't afford. The lawyers have asked me for proof of Hardship. Copies of all my bills and pay stubs, including a letter stating what I can afford to pay monthly. Should I send them copies of my bills and pay stubs? I'm afraid they may use this to garnish wages or put a lien on my house. What should I do?
