CA licensed in my state?

You may get the names of a licensed collection agency in the website of that state's Attorney General or Department of Financial Institutions.

Also, just because a company isn't listed, doesn't mean they're not licensed(they may hold a different license). So, if you have any questions regarding if a Ca is licensed, you can call your Department of Financial Institutions and they will be able to tell you. I thought one of mine wasn't licensed because they did not show up on their list, but they held another license which made them legal in my state.

What state do you live in? Licensing may not be required.

i live in california, and i cannot find anything where i can seee if a CA is licensed... can anybody help?

I can't see that licensing is required in Cali. Google the Rosenthal Act. That is CA's state debt collection statutes.
