ok all the 3 major credit bureaus say that accounts come back as verified how is this when we can't get in touch with the collection agency that they send are on the credit report?

Welcome to the community. :D

I couldn't get you properly. Can you please make your query a bit more clearer.

From your query it seemed that you want to contact the collection agencies bothering you. If that is so then please tell us the name of the collection agencies which are bothering you. We'll in turn try to give you the contact details of such CAs.

This is a common thing with the collection agencies, they start off by just sending you accounts and reports and list of dues, but when you try they are never reachable. For this one thing is you can put up the name of the Collection Agency on a post here and get contact details here, or else wait till they keep sending you more sutff, then they themselves will get in touch with you and at that point you can ask for their contact details and take it from there.

Guest -

please don't get upset, everyone here is trying to help.

I think I understand what you're asking. You're wondering how the credit bureaus were able to get in touch with the collection agencies if you weren't able to due to the address being incorrect on your credit report for the collection agency? Is that correct?

If so, the answer is pretty simple. On the very last page of every credit report is a list of the creditors listed on your credit report, and their phone numbers. That is how anyone (including you) can get in touch with them. If the address or phone is incorrect, then perhaps you need to start doing some research on the internet for that collection agency's name and see if you can come up with a correct phone number.

Sometimes getting touch with these companies is NOT easy - they seem to change names, addresses and phone numbers like most of us change socks - especially the fly-by-night junk debt buyers that try to collect on old or invalid debts.

Do a little investigative work on your own, if you feel the debt is not yours or is no longer a valid debt due to being out of the SOL. You can also go back to the websites for the credit bureaus and add a statement to the debt listed on your report that you are still disputing the debt, despite the fact that it has been verified by the credit bureau - then go do that research and get it corrected.
