CBSD/EBCC inquiry on my Credit Report... Who is this ???

Are you in the military or work for the government? If you were reqiured to attain a government credit card or line than that is what is. If your not I suggest making some phone calls. Hope this has helped.

Yes, I had the same inquiry. If you're in the military or work for the government, Citi does a credit check for you to get a Gov travel card or purchase card.

got a new company credict card and it was w/ Citi, and I got the same inquiry on my credit report at the same time.

Ah, yes that's what it was. Military background check. And, just curious - why not?

CBSD-EBCC ..yep, I'm a govt employee who just had to sbmt paperwork for a GTC-govt travel card.

Any application for a credit card is a "hard inquiry" (I know the question was asked over two years ago) Also just to reinforce it: I recently applied for a Gov't Travel Card and found this inquiry on my report. My first thought: "Who in the HELL is applying for a credit card in my name?!"

BTW my credit score went down by 9 points... Glad I found this post before disputing the inquiry, though. I'd hate to have to fill in all that application paperwork again.
