I really need some help with this company. They are relentlessly calling me every day at work and don't even bother to call my cell phone. It is driving me crazy. I've sent letters to them via fax and email. Their mailing address was incorrect so the certified letter was returned. I've paid them $387.50 on a $200 loan. The woman told me today that she is going to continue to call me. Has anyone had dealings with them and is there anyone at this company that I should call? They refuse to accept anything I've sent them. I've spoken to the NC AG's office and the man I spoke to said I've paid all I needed to pay, but how do I keep them from calling me at work EVERYDAY!!

Get your DFI involved, that should put a stop to it (hopefully) Or if you have any friends/realitves that are lawyers get them to call/write them. that's how I finally got 500fastcash(dfi threatened lawsuit on them) and they finally stopped. That and sending them e-mails/faxed. every.single.time they called. They finally got the message.

Or, you can you just ingore the phone? Let the calls go into vm?

seeing as pdl's are prohibited in NC you not only owe them nothing, but they owe you.tell her that next time she calls.i would just file AG,and FTC complaints.

Got another call this morning and she said that she was going to call me every day....this is at work too. I'm so sick of these people. I asked her is she was aware of the FDCPA and she said it didn't matter they would continue to call me. Are local authorities able to get involved in matters like this? I've alreay paid what I owe and am due a refund but they won't leave me alone. After I file with the AG's office what will happen? Is that going to put a stop to the daily harrassment?

Ali, they will ask you questions regarding the loan, if you paid it back etc etc. They will also ask you how many times they have called. I know with my states DFI they were pretty quick about it.. and yes, once dfi contacted them, the calls stoppped. (the ones responded anyway) 500fast cash never responded, but after daily e-mails to their compliance department, they finally got the message and haven't called for a few months.

CAn you try e-mailing Compliance@(whatever other e-mail) you may have for them and see if that helps?

Ohh, and when they call, I seen this suggested not sure by who.. just hold down one of the keys on your phone...

Ali, is there anyway you can you forward all your calls to vm only? Or do you HAVE to answer the phone where you work? I did that for a week or so and basically stopped all the calls (I did that until Dfi got a hold of them)

You can also file a police report on harrasment (not sure how much good it will do.. but at least you'll have record of that too)

Unfortunately I don't have voicemail but I am the one in my office that answers the phone so that is a plus. I must say, they are extremely persistent and for what???? I overpaid them!! It doesn't make any sense....especially when I live in a state where PDL's are illegal. What about the word ILLEGAL is not understood???? I can't wait til my AG gets the report.

Yep, I do, but I can't ignore it because there are others in the office. But, I have picked it up and hung it back up. I swear I will NEVER EVER allow myself to fall into this trap again! It has been so nice being able to get a full paycheck and even have a little extra. Not only that but my husband and I have been getting along so much better. I've had to keep all of this from him and the financial burden of everything was weighing so heavy on my mind all the time and causing problems in our marriage. It's been so much better. It's so true that finances can make or break a marriage. They don't have my home number so that's a good thing and I've already told my references to be on the lookout for any phone calls. I'm going to be the winner in all of this, NOT THEM!
