I got a call at my home phone this morning from 973-438-3624? I did not answer. Does anyone know who this number belongs to? Is it United Legal again?? I admit their calls are getting fewer and fewer but they still call about once a month (at least I think that is who it is) but I just do not answer if I do not recognize the number.

I am worried because I have left my job now. What if they call there again and find out I do not work there anymore? Will they ask to be speak to my old supervisor and tell him what is going on? I do not owe any payday loan companies any old money so why can't I get rid of these guys??? I panic everytime I see a wierd number on the caller ID!!

The guy's name was Paul Adams. The girl at my former employer who took the message said he had a very thick accent. He asked her to get me a message asking me to call him about "installment payments." Get this .. the number he left for me to call him back was MY HOME PHONE #!! How dumb is that?! If he called me house, he did not leave a message so I did not hear his voice.

Paulmergel, I noticed you posted here. I know you have told me to ignore these guys but how do I get them to go away??? It seems like they still call about once a month. Even though I do not answer, I see numbers on the Caller ID that look wierd so I figure it is them. I have checked and rechecked my old payday loans and I am told I am okay with them. I have racked my brain to try and determine if I have forgotten about any but, so far, have not come up with anything. They have always told me it was a loan with Quik Payday but I never had a loan with Quik Payday.

I thought maybe they had finally kind of given up but today they left this number at my former place of employment and I don't even work there anymore! The gal who took the message sent me an email asking me to call this Paul Adams. I am not sure why they keep trying. I have thought about getting in touch with I-Collect again but they never answer.

They scare me to death everytime they call. I do not know what else to do. Help!!

but what if he keeps calling my old employer?? I did email back and apologize. I told her that I had been dealing with these jerks for awhile now and have reported them to the Florida AG. I left it at that. Since she was kind enough to take a message for him once, what if he calls back? I am very embarrassed if they find out I have had payday loans.

Yes, I thought once per month was progress but this has really thrown me for a loop.

Has anyone has luck getting rid of them? I have chest pains like no other after hearing from them.

believe it or not.i was called back to a kob i was laid off from right in the middle of this pdl mess.yes it is a pain, but as long as you didn't take he loans on a company pc.soory to be hard, but i wouldn't worry about it.unless you are still close to your former co-workers.still these mopes should get the message soon.you see,it was hard to tell them the lie that i quit when i didn't.it's almost like a sixth sense these scuzz have.eventually they'll get a clue.
