I have payday loans with the following lenders:
Cashsupply
Kenwood Services
Sandpoint Capital
Upfrontmoney

I faxed all of them the formed letter telling them to stop calling and harrassing and they refuse to listen. Should I send the letters certified to them? What happens if they wont stop? I have my complaint forms ready for my states attorney as well. I was wondering if anyone else has had to deal with these companys? Can they take me to court with legal action if they are illigal companies? How do I KNOW FOR SURE they are illiegal? Some one please help! They keep calling and harrassing me at my work place!

I am currently having the same problem with Cash Supply. They are non-stop harrasing me at work, sometimes calling more than once a day. I've also sent the letters, etc. but they continue to call. I completely understand your frustration because I'm in the same boat. I've actually overpaid them too! I'm not sure what else to tell you to do that I haven't done myself already. I'm hoping that eventually they will get tired of calling. I contacted the FTC but they told me that if it is the original lender than the complaint needs to be filed through the state you reside. If it's a third party collector you can file with the FTC.

I live in North Carolina where any and all payday lenders are illegal so in a way I have somewhat of a benefit but to be honest it doesn't really matter to them. The laws means absolutely nothing to them. Just continue to file complaints with the AG's office and tell them that you can't accept personal calls at work or just hang up. That's what I'm doing, but it still bothers the h#$$ out of me!

I'm sure there is someone on this site who is familar with your other lenders but I know Cash Supply is not legal. Also, in the search box at the top of this page put in the name of the lender and there you should find some information out on them. It might help if you tell us what state you live in, how much you borrowed and how much have you paid.

I've never heard of Kenwood, but the other three are definitely NOT licensed in Illinois. If they won't play ball with you, then you need to consider filing complaints with the Illinois regulators. You can find the right office on www.paydayloaninfo.org. They have a state map that if you click on the state will give you both the laws in your state and links to the regulator's websites. Good luck.

I received a notice back from them in the mail yesterday. It states that they are in Belize so our state laws do not apply, but those of Belize and U.S. federal law. They have no presence in the state I reside. They agreed to settle the balance and avoid any legal action. My account has been noted as paid in full. Good luck. There was no forwarding address or I would post it here.

Sorry, I have been away from the computer. Belize is a country that used to be called Hondorus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belize .
I had paid what I borrowed from them. In short they sent me a letter stating that I knew what I was getting into when I signed up in the first place, but basically they will mark my account as paid in full to avoid any legalities.
