my credit card was recently sold to a collection agenct named FMA alliance.they sent me a letter stating i had 3o days to dispute the acct.i sent them a dv letter.looks like they have snt the acct to the original creditor(wamu).now wamu has re opened the acct.can they do this.the credit card was charged off.wamu is now sending me letters of the acct.

Apparently the debt was not sold, FMA was merely contracted to collect. Send them (Wamu) a settlement offer if you have the funds to settle; if not, make good payment arrangements.
