I got a phone call today from American Consumer Credit. They said they just wanted to let me know they have written off my loan, and that I now owe them zero. Kind of odd, since I haven't paid them back any money, including the principal of the loan. I asked her to follow this up in writing, which they said they would do by email. I have not received an email as of yet.

I had sent them a fax, stating that I could not find that they were legal in california, nor could I find any legal business information for them in the state of Delaware, where they are supposedly located. Further I requested they send me a street address where I could send them payment.

Why would they all of a suddent say my loan has been written off. Any ideas??
Thank you for all your help.

I WILL get myself out of this payday mess!!!!

Do you have any idea, why ACC would not even try to collect the principal of the loan. I defaulted on it on the 11th of February, so it's not like it is an old loan or anything. I had every intention of paying the principal, however, now I don't think I should. (or should I pay it anyways).

Not sure what I should do. They contacted me and said I don't owe them anything. I contacted them originally to try and work out payments with them.
