Sherman is one of the "heavies" that works in collections at CashNetUSA. If you go their site and click on contact us there is all the numbers and the address. I can tell you if you write to them they will just ignore it. I have sent letters, certified, and they claim they have not received them - even though they signed for them. They will give you the same story about faxes. If you email them they then just reply that you need to call.
Mr Sherman
Mr Sherman is an idiot. I like him to keep calling and wasting his time cuz i never answer nor do i listen to his messages anymore, just delete them before i even hear them, glad he is wasting his time basically speaking to air and wasting his breath :-)

Do you have any idea who they are attempting to collect for?

Not sure if CashNet is legal here in Maryland or not. You might want to contact the MD Dept. of Financial Regulation (# and address listed on this site), they could probably give you some help, as well as THIS great site. Don't know if a cease and desist letter to Mr. Sherman would work or not as far as getting him to stop calling your job.

You need to be sure who CashNetUSA is collecting for. Here in Michigan, CashNetUSA is the same as Advance America, which is a legally operating, licensed company. CashNetUSA handles the online loan portion of Advance America's business.
If they are collecting for Advance America, and IF Advance America is one of your lenders, I would not ignore them.

omg, I just received a phone call from them too!! but i thought he said "Mr. Terman" I deleted his message by accident and I couldn't get his number! is this from Cash Net USA? I noticed that most of the time, when they're legal and real debts, they just say to call them back because it is time sensitive, but when they're scams, they tell you all these things about you having a lawsuit, charges, etc. that is what I go by most of the times, and then I know wheather to return the call or not, but maybe I'm wrong :) thanks for the info guys!

If you are receiving my recorded message, then you have been found to be in default on a loan agreement with CashNetUSA. If you wish to no longer receive my call, then pay your loan as agreed. On the question of our legal operating status, I suspect you weren't asking that question when you accepted our money were you.
So, pay your loan losers and we will stop call you.
This is an attempt to collect on a debt. Any information gathered from this contact can be used against you in a suit to finalize this collection action.
Mr. Sherman
really dirty trick by CNU this week.......really dirty.
They spoofed their phone number to Medical City, Dallas, a major hospital, and I did not listen to the message, just hit redial (as I was on the phone when it came up).
It caused me to panic because I thought one of my kids or grandkids was in "recovery" because the lady on the other end of the phone said this was "recovery".
Then, I listened to the message to find out who it really was,......CNU......I am going to see if I can sue them for this as Texas Attorney General's office will throw them right out of the state for stunts like this.
I do not know how they get people to work there who are willing to do this dirty crap.
They'll get their money, i just didn't have mine, but now that they did that, I'm going to wait until I hear from the authorities to do anything else. I'm paying the bill, but they may wind up paying me a bigger one. That was traumatic for a few minutes and threw us all into a state of panic.
There is nothing to say about people like that except that they're a lot more immoral than people who can't pay their bills on time. what a lowlife bunch.

Mr. Sherman can kiss a$$$$$$
If u want people to pay back loans...maybe you should loan money to those that have good credit instead of desparate broke people that are already lacking money and then CNU charges them 700% interest...which CNU knows they can't pay.
You take advantage of broke people and then act mad when they can't pay CNU back...really???????? Did you think desparate broke people would have the money to pay you back???? If they had money...they wouldn't get a loan from a horrific company like yours!!!! :):):)
"mr. sherman" = not a real person. most likely some BS pseudony
"mr. sherman" = not a real person. most likely some BS pseudonym introduced by the PDL scum that is generic enough to introduce a degree of plausible deniability to their actions. If I were you, in my next interaction with "mr. sherman", I'd
1- inform it that the the telephone call is being recorded
2- demand it send an address of record to your mailbox
3- demand it never contact you by phone or e-mail again until a physical copy of their alleged contract is in your hands (offer to pay the postage on this one)
4- hang up

How unprofessional to call others "losers". If you are representing a firm, then I would have hoped that they hired someone educated. "We will stop call you." - that's real nice right there, Sherman.

I have a valid loan which was to be paid in full on 12-1-2010. The money was not debited from my account so I figure maybe these guys are just a little late. Next thing I know people are calling me whom I don't know and demanding I give them my acct. number!!!! I told them I don't give any info to anyone and espeacially not on the phone, if they are legit they would have all my info, after all they deposited the money in my account they know where to take it out from that is the last conversation I have had with anyone and they can call till their blue in the face, the money is still sitting in my account waiting for the legit person to retrieve it.
PS they wouldn't even tell me who or what cnu was I had to go on the internet to figure it out. Thanks
CNU Collection SCAM!
CNU is a scam! They buy, steal or somehow obtain your personal contact info, then will call you at home and work, even call your managers and threaten you if you do not give them $$. They will identify themselves as FBI, investigators, law enforcement, attorneys, anything they can think of to harass you into giving them money. They say they are going to come and apprehend you. Tehy are relentless and will not give up even if you start asking questions about their true identity and legitimacy. They will give you phone numbers to call and will answer those lines with things like "Investigations", or "Legal Enforcement", or "Prosecution" or anything that will make them sound legit and threatening. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFO OR MONEY! Write down phone numbers, names or whatever you are told by them and then call your states Attorney General Office, or call the Secret Service (Federal) office closest to you... usually in the larger cities. Call any local or state consumer fraud law enforcement. The will not stop until they are caught - do whatever you can to help prevent future victims!
Not all losers
In response to Mr. Sherman!
Not everyone is a loser just because that cannot pay back these extremely high interest payday loans. People get into these loans in an attempt to make ends meet and get caught up in a vicious circle that they cannot get out of. Thes are tough economic times and tougher for some than others.
Real professional Mr. Sherman....
Legal rights
If the debt collect is harrasing you for any reason you have the right to tell them to never call you again, if they do continue to call you especially at work you can start recording the calls and requesting for them to never call you again. If they call you again request their address and if they refuse you let them know you will be seeking counsel on the grounds of continued harassment and just hang up. Go to the nearest consumer rights attorney take you evidence and file suit. most attorneys with sufficient evidence will not cost you a dime and even possibly get you some money.
