I got a $600.00 payday loan in December. I don't dispute I owe it. My life has gone steadily downhill since that time, and I had to close my checking account and start over. I contacted a company called PDL Assistance to help me with my many payday loans. I sent a "financial distress" letter to Nationwide. SOMEHOW they managed to get my new account number, which was at a different bank, and withdraw $1100.00 all at once. I am broke now, and distressed. I called my bank, but today is Saturday, and I got their customer service team who said they were 96% sure they could get these debits returned. I am not so sure. They came through yesterday. Can Nationwide DO this? In no way shape or form did I authorize these withdrawals.

Luckily I got a family member to cover the $1100.00 until I can get this clear. I paid other bills, and multiple overdrafts are exactly what I DO NOT need!

Thanks,
CM

I am so sorry to hear this and I hope you get your money back.

Did you apply for another loan or any internet transaction using your new account? Are you paying any other lenders out of this new account? Some of these PDL's are so closely related if one has your information they all have it.

Please keep us posted on this, I would really appreciate knowing how this happened.
