Do you have any idea on my case?
I got sued and it will be on middle of next month.
The debtor is American Express and the plentiff is from my county court. My total debt is $13,000 and I don't know which is the best way to avoid the court judgement.
I think I can pay monthly certain amount of money. I have full time job and income is aound 90k. Do you have any idea for me? I am worried about being garnished from ny wage by the court settlement. Thanks and any advice will be important to me.

Contact the court which summoned you and inquire about the same
Contact the court which summoned you and inquire about the same from the clerk. Then contact the company that sued you and try to reach a settlement outside court. If a settlement cannot be reached then answer the summons within the stipulated time.
To answer a summon you may follow the steps mentioned in the following page: -
