Depends how long you've been in default. Most chains make the store manager the first-round collector and you'll end up dealing with him or her for the first month or two. After that it might go to corporate or to an outside agency, depending on the chain. With smaller companies, like mom-and-pop check cashing stores, you don't really have the option.

Try the store front first, if you do not get anywhere then call the corporate office. Store managers are only given so much power and they are instructed not to deviate from standard.
