Cash net usa says I took out a loan wth them.

There is a collection company working for cash net usa that says I took out a loan with them in sep 2007. They have called me many times saying if I don't pay up they will refer the matter to the pasco county fla sheriff. Can they do this?

Have you tried contacting Cashnet USA to confirm whether or not you took out a loan? There is another company with a similar name, cashnet500.
A quick follow up
The CA called me again and this time I spoke with a "supervisor" he told me they have copies of my check stub and my drivers licence. I know this is a lie because I have never faxed any information to any payday loan company. Maybe I will confirm my belief if they call again by asking them what the address on the dl is. and the date of the stub.
