Hi...just found this site and am really looking forward to gaining as much knowledge as I can. I have been served and have started to fight back, but am at a loss now...I sort of started fighting without really researching enough..so now that I have a court date I am sort of stuck! I don't know what to do. Is there any guide on the site on forms to file, wording etc? I have seen some references but cannot really determine what I need to do. I am in NJ.

My story....

I am being sued by Citibank (Faloni and LaRusso referred to as F/S) over a business account for my husbands business, which is now out of business. The amount is $12,xxx.

I filed my response and have now received a court date. I have also received a TON of paperwork from F/S tp fill out and return. I understand burden of proof is on them, so am I right in thinking I should not fill that out? From what I can see, if I do fill it out and sign it I am basically agreeing to the judgement.

So I guess I am wondering what is my next step? What do I file next? I guess I am at a point of "discovery" but am unsure to how proceed. I really have no idea what to file - if I should file anything...sorry..just in a bit of a panic right now! So many questions...so scared....

I ignored intial debt collection letters so even though I sent the letter of validation I am not expecting them to comply.

What do I do?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but am hoping anyone with experience could help me!!

Thank sooooo much
