severe collecter threats

This is a scam, do NOT give out your personal banking info, you can not go to jail for failing to pay a debt! Report this to your local police department, and to the FTC.

i had messages on my answering machine from a guy with a accent from india, saying he was officer ron from united legal services headquarters, saying i had a legal issue if not taken care of i would go to jail, i traced number with A&T&T, said unlisted number, i called today, he said i comitted bank fraud, and said if i did not pay $806.00 with him by 2pm, i would be arrested,i told him i had to consult attorney, he then said i refused his offer that i would go to jail, he said i would need three attorneys now, he has my social and adress, if i owe money i will pay but not under those conditions, i know he has broken federal law, please advise cannot sleep very worried about this, thank you dan

i am afraid to call this guy back, to find out what company loan was from, i think this is going on two years ago, online loan i have had trouble paying back, this guy scares me with threats of arrest , i taped hi messages on answering machine where he claimed to be a officer, and threating arrest, should i get a attorney?, he called my parents house with these threats they are elderly, father is a heart attck victim, hen they heard this we almost had to call life squad, this is making me a severe nervous wreck, thank you for first reply dan

I am getting calls from Outback Financial or Outback Cash not sure but they are taking place at my work and I know its against the law if I tell them not to call my work again but they continue to call and if I'm unavailable they berate the staff, I have called and told them not to call my office again but they continue to violate the Fair Debt Collection Privacy Act and I want to report them, what do I do next??

Telling them to stop calls to your office or home is useless, you have to send them a C&D letter by CMRRR!

They are an OC so do not have to abide by a C&D

i used to get calls from united legal - mostly at my job it was awful! but they stopped once they realize u do not care and are not scared of them.
