I received a letter today from Edelman, Combs, Latturner, & Goodwin, LLC today regarding the over charging and harassment that Sherman Acquisition has been doing to many debtors. This is a class action lawsuit brough forth by an individual from Chicago. Apparently there is a large settlement to anyone who has experienced troubles with Sherman, however there are restrictions. The restrictions were unclear, as I have just gotten off work, and do not feel like reading through 6 pages of "legal jumbo". I do know however, that one of the retrictions is actually having paid Sherman over what is normal.

Has anyone dealt with Sherman in the past, or received a letter similiar from this law office?

After doing an online search, it was found that Sherman Acquisitions also goes by the name ALEGIS GROUP LP. They have their contact number as (605) 275-7005. I think it might be a call center where the calls are forwarded.

They have their head office at 15 S. Main St., Suite 600 in Greenville, SC at toll-free number (888) 665-0374

People, if S.A is listed in your CR, put it on investigations as they are undergoing a lawsuit. Hopefully, the issues will get settled through legal approach.
