Umemployment Overpayment

Long story short...my husband lost his job in August after violating a new policy at his workplace. They could have given him a warning, but I guess this was a great way to get rid of someone who was making alot of money. He filed for unemployment and it was granted until the employee filed an appeal. The process took months and now they say we have to pay all the unemployment back...$7,000. We have decided to file bk. Can we list this amount owed to the State on our bk?

No. Overpayment of government benefits is not a debt.
They will have no issues with attaching it from his new wages, assuming he has found another job.
