I took out a pdl from cash transfer centers. Last Friday I put a block on my account and I called them telling them that I closed my account (now I really do have it closed). They said that I need to money gram 1963 for the loan, finance charge, and 2 return fees. I know they are illegal in mn. The guy said the collections department would probably be calling me about the loan. What do I say to them and has anyone got payment arrangements with them?

Send them a letter, email or fax stating they are illegal and you are only willing to pay the principle on the loan.

CTC will immediately send a wage assignment to your employer. You must send them a letter revoking it and give a copy to your HR department. They are very fast to do this so do not hesitate! Then follow the advice of nohiogal above!
