Having several Online PDL's which all state in the contract "I will not file bankruptcy". I'm wondering if in fact I can file bankruptcy?

yes you can file bankruptcy.what state are you in?there is nothing that can prevent you from filing bankruptcy.in fact since they are internet chances are they are illegal and the contract means nothing.file away.

pdlowner is right, i had a company tried to collect on me hard core, screaming at me, telling me to grow up and pay my bills. my attorney wanted to sue them but i was so worn out at the time (i was having bad medical problems, a large reason for my bankruptcy) that i just let it go, which i kind of regret now :(

I just got back from the bank for the 2nd. time today. Finally I got some action! The allowed me to close my checking account even though it was overdrawn $900 plus! They did let me set up a payment plan to pay the overdraft charges and once paid will let me open a new account! I told them all the horror stories I've seen on here and they assured me that no way will anyone be able to access the new account. All in all the day seems to be going pretty decent! Praise the Lord! I even sent emails to all the PDL's and told them that the account will be closed within the next 24-48 hours; however it is already underway of being closed as I type! I also; told the PDL's that I would send them money orders for payment on a monthly basis provided they sent me a mailing address. Guess what I have already received that from one of them! It's not over but it's looking a little better! Thanks everyone on this board. I couldn't have gotten this far with out you!!
