i have a general question..i do not have the info on who or what i owe at this point..they have changed hands/names so many times i cant begin to keep track...heres my question...when these non english speaking asshats call they always threaten that they can find my bank info and just take what they want..ive only had a savings for about 2 years now because of this..its a pain..i need a checking account to pay bills and stuff..i can get a 2nd chance checking from a bank here but i was just wondering if anyone could tell me for sure..can they get my info??


I assume you are referring to illegal PDLs?

I would verify that with your bank. If I were you I would open the new account at a different bank just to be sure.

They way most of the illegal companies get the bank information is if you attempt to take out a new internet payday loan.

As you know they operate under different names and have sister companies so they share the information.

As long as you do not attempt to take out another loan with your new information you should be okay.

Legal PDLs can get judgments to garnish bank accounts but I guess if the loan was legal they would have already done that and garnished your savings.
