Did you actually talk to them or was it just the first time they called? If you didn't pick up the phone and speak to them and verify you are the consumer they are seeking, then they have not made initial contact.
Why don't you just pay the bill....or at least setup a payment p

oh yeah.let's just pay anybody who calls and says we owe money.i know in my case at least that will not happen without something in writing.

Free Advice please think before you open your mouth .. This collection agency is not exactly collection agency of the month ..I dont mind dealing with a company that plays by the rules but I draw the line at being bullied into paying account they can't prove is mine ..

you can easily take a minute to call them, find out what they are calling regarding, and hang up if you are getting upset. Do not give them your social security number At least then you will better know what you are dealing with.

well at first you should,but michelle knew who was calling.they just were trying to get payment by phone with nothing in writing.will state that position again.NOTHING IN WRITING...NO PAYMENT.
