I have a Citi Card reloving account showing on my credit report. Balance is 5427. Last payment is 06/2006. Should I contact them and try to re-establish payments and request that they re-report the account in good standing? Would they be open to this? Is it too old to worry about? They are reporting every month that it is in collections but I haven't heard anything from them for at least 1.5 years.

What should I do if anything about this account?

If Citi still owns it, you might be able to negotiate out a settlement and change the status to settled in full or settled for less but you likely will not get it back to a positive status. Considering the balance and still w/in SOL, you might just pop up on their radar and they might start aggressively pursuing it. There are some recent posts here where Citi is getting really nasty. They gotta pay back all that bailout money.
