After reading through numerous posts, I'm still a bit confused on Wisconsin's PDL laws. I reviewed the laws for various states, and WI sounds like any and all on line loans are legal as long as the company didn't solicit the person. In other words, since I went on line and looked for loans, WI would recognize them all as legal? If anyone knows if I'm reading that correctly or not, could you please let me know? I'm in way over my head and despertely need a way out. I don't know which route to take until I know the laws.

So from what I gather..Having several store front loans=Check into Cash, Check n Go, PDLS, Check and Cash and EZ money, that I work with the corp office once the loan is past due. I am not sure what to communicate. I can not pay any of them at this point. I want to make arrangements but can not do anything for this month. Any thoughts

Check n go will send your account to collections. From there you will have to make payment arrangements. Thats what we had to do. But I closed my checking account so my check got returned.

I haven't used check into cash for YEARS and I know that if you tell them that your having problems they will drive to your bank as soon as they check to see if you have enough funds in there and cash it. (at least the one I was dealing with did that and I live 40 miles from them)

Usually if you have been a customer there for some time and know the manager pretty good, you may be able to get an arrangement from them. But you have to tell them what is going on. I mean that you are having financial problems not that you have a ton of payday loans. And let them know that you are tapped out for this month and see what they come up with. If you cannot meet what they want then go higher up on the ladder. You can contact the district manager and then corp. And if check n go is still the same it will take about a month for them to send it to collections. So that will buy you some time. I owed them $1100 and so did hubby and I made arrangements with the CA for $50 a month on each account. Now I only have 2 payments left on each account.

Good luck on this. You can do it!!

No worries, no toes stepped on.but I had to talk to the DM from check n go because the manager wanted me to do something illegal. So I ended up talking to the DM and things were taken care of then. The DM fired the manager because of that.

Awesome Job!! I had a chat with a member on here recently about the same issue. A storfront lender asked the member for collatoral towards a defaulted loan. I was in total shock people would stoop so low to make a profit

Yep the manager wanted me to write her a check from an account she knew was closed so she could get her bonus. I think not, I am not going to go to jail so she can have a bonus :x

Heck YEARS ago I had a CA tell me to use my pet for collatoral so I could pay him. I asked him if he had kids and he said yes, then I asked if he would use one of them for collatoral on a loan and he said of course not. So I said of course not because that is my child lol.

I have several PDL in WI

PLS
Cash TYme
Check in GO
Check n Go
Ez Money

I have not been able to pay one any of these loans. I have contacted some to make arrangements but how can I make arrangements with all of these at the same time. Most want to divide the loan into 4 payments. I want to work with one at a time.

What is my best approach. I need to also work with 3 internet lenders. Cash USA, Cash transfer Centers.

I was thinking of using Destination Debt Solutions. Is this a good move or should I work the PSL myself.

One store is extremely rude..Cash Tyme is calling even though I leave them a message and also calling references and telling who they are. How can I make them stop calling.

Please help I want it all to end.

PLS is a storefront in WI. They are based out oif the Chicagoland area.

As for a reaposne to snomum, I would stay away from DDS. You need to contact Catholic Charities in your area or WI has a reorganization thru the courts. I have not run into in years, but it is a court approved payment schedule that the debtor can arrange with the courts. Call your Clerk of Courts for more info.

PDLOwner I completely forgot about that

Here is what a chapter 128 is
Quote:

Chapter 128 Debt Amortization is also called debt consolidation or receivership. It allows you time to pay off unsecured creditors. You can include any unsecured debt including utilities, medical bills, or credit cards.

By filing under Chapter 128 bankruptcy, you can prevent wage garnishment. You can even stop utility shut-offs, preventing the utility companies from disconnecting your lights or home phone. You can also stop bill collectors from calling.

In Chapter 128, you pay one monthly payment that comes right out of your paycheck. The creditors get payments every quarter, or 4 times a year. You pay your balance in three years. If you want to pay more and pay off the debt sooner, there is no penalty for doing so.

With Chapter 128 bankruptcy law, the amount of money you owe stays exactly the same as the day you filed. Once you file, there is no added interest. Therefore, it's much easier to pay down your debt.

A Chapter 128 is a great way for people who have gotten into a tough spot to get their bills back under control without having to file a bankruptcy.

there is also another post you may want to look at, it has some good info on chapter 128
