Credit card collections

I have been told this by several people and wonder if anyone can verify it for me. I was told as long as you make a payment of some kind each month to a credit card company, they can't do anything to you like send you to a collection agency. Is this true?

Completely wrong. If you do not pay the full amount, you are past due. They can still send you to collections.
