Hello All:

In that "offer" from JD Enterprise and Financial Services, the last line reads:

JD Enterprise trade-line will be deleted from your Experian Credit Report.

So my question is, what is meant by a "trade-line"? And also, I have only checked my Experian report. Is it possible that this only appears on that report, or is this something uniform (the credit report) and it would show on all three?

I ask because this is from a debt *way* past the SOL. And I am not happy about it being on there. I am going to dispute it with Experian, but before I go and check the other 2 reports, I was wondering if you could give me some possible insight please?

Thanks again-
Patti

Well, it is still showing and says it will until 2008. How can this be? They are *claiming* I made a payment in 2004 (I didn't) I checked with the OC and was told my last payment was in 2001. The account was sold then as well.

So how do I prove this? And to whom? I hate these bottomfeeding scumbags.

I am bumping this in hopes someone can tell me about whether Credit Reports are universal or if they vary from company to company... and also what I can do about these losers who have a debt posted from 2001. Isn't them posting this and lying about so-called last payment illegal? And if so, what can I do to get them off my case and off my credit report?

I already sent a CV letter. Certified return receipt requested.

Thank you!

Patti

Send them a validation letter and also include that since they claim you made a payment, you want proof of that payment because they are illegally reporting this tradeline and you will take them to court over it. This is a BIG no no and can impact your credit so you could sue them for a tidy little sum.

It is up to THEM to prove you made this payment...if they have no proof they have to correct it and if they have to correct it they have to remove it because it is past posting time.
