Sent DV but didn't know account, should I send another?

But because I had not received a dunning letter I did not know what account they were calling about so my DV just gave my name, address and phone number.
Well the day I mailed the DV I got their dunning letter! So my question is should I send another DV now that specifies the account number/reference number on the dunning letter?
They have stopped calling since they received my DV on March 2nd, but I just want to make sure I'm covered and not giving up any rights by not specifying what account I was disputing.
So would it be a good idea to resend the DV and specify the account info they listed in the dunning letter?

Well it doesn't hurt to be thorough. Personally, I would assume that they are only trying to collect on one account so they should be able to locate it (and probably were, seeing as the collection efforts have stopped) so you should be ok. You could send them an Addendum if you would like to be carefully thorough, and referencing the information on the dunning letter.
Be very careful with this collector, they are known to engage in violations of the FDCPA, and are being sued by the State of Pennsylvania for that very thing.

Yes, I've read all I could find about Brachfeld and know they are a bottom feeder. That's why I wanted to be sure I'm covering everything. Even if they only have the one account maybe there would be some way for them to weasel out of my DV since it is "generic".
I think I will send them an Addendum now that I know the account they are trying to collect on just to be safe.

that happens to me all the time, they always send out the letter
that happens to me all the time, they always send out the letter after i asked how come i did not recieve it.. i usually resend it with the account numbers because i do not trust most collectors.
