My husband is an AU on my CC, it states the card is in good standing b/c we always pay on time, but the Balance is $8,700 and the limit $9000. Question is, would having the trade line removed from his credit report hurt or help?

Authorized user accounts aren't suppossed to have any impact on your credit report. However, with the balance being so close to the credit line, I would have it removed just in case.

FICO 08 was not supposed to factor AU accounts into your FICO score, then FICO reversed that and stated it would be a factor. Regardless of that, I beileve it would hurt the overall utilization percentage. You would have to have them removed from the account and then dispute as AU only.
