I was told by the court admin that I could file an appeal but it would cost $300.
Does anyone know where I can find a sample motion to vacate or set aside?
If none of this works and the judgment holds up, what am I in for?

*bump* I'm interested, too. I thought you had a year to file a motion to vacate or motion to dismiss. Does it really matter which one to file?
What Motion Do I File
I had a judgement filed against me in court and I didn't know about it, I wrote a letter to the judge and asked him to re-open the case and set a new court date, I showed just cause and a new court date was granted. I am not sure how mediation works, I would file an appeal, I am sure there are some self help books. Write it in the same format of the actual filing. I just recently filed a motion to have my chapter 7 bk discharged case re-opened and it was granted. It was discharged in 2005. Anything is possible. It all on how you word the motion or appeal. Always support your request with supporting facts.
did you just write a letter like, "Dear judge, blah, blah, blah.
did you just write a letter like, "Dear judge, blah, blah, blah. Thanks, me" or did you do some special format like most court forms seem to be in. Did you not have to go through a filing process with the clerk?
