How can I stop them from calling my job???? :( I feel like I constantly have to monitor the phone (Thank God I am a receptionist, but I can't be there all the time. I sent a cease and desist letter via email (as this was my only option) and used information that I got from this community to draft the letter and asked for written communication only. Please help me I am losing my mind....What else should I do, I live in Maryland and just learned that these internet based loans are illegal!!!!

The next time they call, I would also try and get a fax number/address if you can, and send the C and D letters that way.
It should start to get better for you now--the only bad piece of news is that the International PDL's (if you have any), will probably say the laws don't apply to them, or something to that effect. In that case, say "I'm sorry, I can't accept personal calls at work", or words to that effect, and HANG UP. And do this EACH time they call. I would also keep a small notebook at your desk and document each time they call, in case you file a complaint with your state AG's office.
Keep us posted, OK?

Well the two worst are United Cash Loams and US Fast Cash which both of them have gotten back their principle and then some. Another is Magnum cash advance who got back half the amount that I borrowed so far. One lady in particularly was extremely rude and says "Well we will continue to call you at work since you don't answer your cell phone." So equally as rude I say to the woman "Well you listen missy it is not my damn problem that you call my cell during business hours, if I lose my job due to your calls you won't get @#*% back. She fell silent and I was so pissed I just hung up on her!!!

dear Kyrabutler80,
I had extensive experience with Magnum Cash Advance, here is the contact information that I used and got a PIF from them. They are illegal and once you force your hand and tell them so, they will eventually backdown.

I also sent them a very detailed accounting of all of the payments I made to them, once I threated legal action through my department of Financial Institutes and with their ACH processor, they were quick with a PIF.

Search for Magnum Cash Advance in the search box and you will find the entire history from them.

Sorry, forgot to attach the information.

Mgmt@mycallcenterservices.com (their generic response email)
tcollazo@magnumcashadvance.com (Tony Collazo)

Find out what your laws are in your state. In my state (AZ) it is a class one misdemeanor to try and collect on an illegal debt.

The PIF shows a forgiveness of a loan value that was overinflated but none the less, it was a PIF.

DO NOT DEAL with these people over the phone! They are scum!

United Cash and U.S. Fast Cash will never stop, but the calls will slow down. I know someone who went bad on them three years ago and they still call his cell phone every couple of months. They collect their own debt so the FDCPA doesn't apply and they are set up so the lender is an Indian tribe. Courts in California and Colorado have both found that the states have no power to enforce their laws against them.

That may be the case. But they have no power to enforce their flimsy immunity against the consumer either. Meaning they will not even dare to sue. I will eat my shoes the day they do

I suggest the best way to handle them is close your account and send them the principal balance via M.O., disposable debit card, or money wire transfer. As for the calls well I reckon you can always change your number
