My husband and I are out of work, I defaulted on a loan turned in my SUV and still got the judgement for the remainder. Now the company wants the collateral (household items). I was unable to attend court because I just had surgery. I need help!!! -

Hi carrpak_3,
Just curious, why didn't you file for an extension on the court case?
At any rate, file a motion to vacate the judgment due to that fact.
And another question, I'm a bit confused - are you talking about 2 debts here? "Household items" as collateral on a car loan?!

Chrys....I dont think an MTV would do this user any good unless notification was made to the court and an attempt was made to file a continuance. She might have a better shot of petitioing to have the judgement set aside.
