Besides langhorne does any one know of any other companies that work similarly in dealing with payday loans. Also if you could let me know how your experience went with them.

They all have mixed reviews and offer the same consolidation service. They differ in pricing, terms, etc.. I shopped around with all of them before I decided to do the it on my own.

You can get a better information by doing a search on each company here on this forum. More will be along to share their experiences.

May I ask what PDL companies you are dealing with and what state you are in?

i never used one but i called langhorne (mostly because i live near their physical office) but was really turned off by them.. ironically looking for them showed me the way here and i ended up doing it myself :) what state are you in? if the loans are not legal, it is much easier and cheaper to do it alone (probably even if they are legal) but using a company is a personal choice.. langhorne seemed real pushy and rude to me, so i personally would not go with them.. also it was expensive! loans are not legal in my state and i ended up not having to pay back some companies (because i over-paid them) but langhorne would have had me pay the companies and them more money!

i started with progressive debt relief, dont get me wrong they were all nice and i didnt have any complaints about them, the only reason i stoped the program is they charge 40% to do payday loans. and they wont try to settle with payday loans, they just make you pay the balance of what it is. i figured everyone else that has done it on their own seems to be successfull so i thought i would give it a try and try to save a little money.

Have you researched any of these lenders yet to find out whether they are legal lenders? If not, that would be my first step before hiring a pdl settlement company. The reason being; if you discover some of the lenders are not be legal - ANY pd; settlement company you hire will have little or no chance of settling with illegal lenders, they didn't follow the law to begin with so why would they go out of their way to settle with a company you hire.

I agree, the illegal pdls will not even work with their customers and in some cases they are hard to find and wont even reply to emails, a settlement company will have the same problem and might even settle for more than the principal amount you borrowed meaning they would be overpaid. Illegal unlicensed lenders should only be paid back the amount you borrowed, not a penny more.
