Hi. I just checked on my TransUnion credit report and I found that Midland Credit Management (a debt collector) has recently checked on it too. They are listed in the Account Review Inquiries section. Is this legal for debt collectors to do random checks on my credit. Doesn't this affect my score when there are too many inquiries?
Any information is greatly appreciated.

One of your accounts were probably recently assigned to them. Its fairly common for them to check your credit and see how you are paying other accounts, amount of debt you have, etc. Those types of inquiries (not initiated by you) are called "soft inquiries" and do not count against you as an inquiry.
