Hi all,

I have my credit report infront of me. It has a heading called Balance, another one Limit and the last one called Past Due.

I was unable to keep up my payments and the credit cards were closed after a couple of months.

Can you please tell me which one of these is the actual money that I spent. I know one of them is the money I owe the cc with interest. I want to know the principal I owe them.

I can't call up the credit card company coz these debts have been purchased by a collection agency. I don't want to face the collection agency just yet.
Thanks in advance

If you are trying to find out how much you owe in order to pay off the debt, you can't use what is on your credit report to determine how much you owe them, you need to get that figure from the collection company. That is if you are trying to repay the debt.

If you are trying to find out the principal before it went to the collection company, the credit card company should be able to provide you with that figure.
