Business Debt

I'm bumping this with the hopes someone will respond who has had experience with this matter.

im re-bumping this i dont know the answer myself, but scince i have posted on other posts it has pushed this one down hopefully soon someone will give you a answer!

I guess it would depend on what type of business debt is was....was this a sole proprietorship that you alone are fully responsible for?

see that is were i was unsure. and im not sure if the same rules apply with business as it does with personal debt

This is a sole prop. business. I have worked out payments with my vendors that I still owe but, cannot keep up with what it is they want. Also, does anyone know how much information is legal for my vendors to give out regarding the status of my accounts? I recently closed my retail store but, sold all my displays to someone else who is opening the same type of business at my former location ( yes, I did use the funds to pay some of my debt to my vendors) This person is using the same vendors as I was using and I am being told by the new business owners that they are being told of my past due accounts. Is this ok for them to be doing?
