If the court says they overcharged you, try to get it in writing. Then file against them in small claims court. You should have their banking information on the back of your cancelled checks. Will make garnishing their bank account all the easier.

well i paid 2k upfront, then they asked for the filing fees, at this point i had already retained them so i just complied, when i went to court they told me they took too much and my case could'nt be filed then. not only that it went through the hands of 3 different attornys, the 1 that went to court with me had no idea what all that $ went too, anyways the court had to motion something in regards to that, but im not sure what that means for me. they are a firm based in FL that sent me letters for a fresh start program...seemed reputible, but after court i dont believe that they are.

Jackson Crowder ripoff
I paid $1000 up front and canceled my contract with them. They said they mailed me a refund a month ago, of course I never received it. I contacted the Florida Bar, 651 E Jefferson St., Tallahassee, FL 32301-2546. I am still trying to deal with this. Hopefully this info can help someone. :(
jackson crowder
I had dealings with thi9s company and there is nothing but gracious and did a great job for me. They are demanding, when it comes to getting the documents in that they need. what allot of consumers do is delay the process by not having all the information together when they need it and then blame the attornies. You have to qualify for a loan mod, you are NEVER gauranteed. No one, no firm can make promises to do a loan mod unless you qualify. do your homework people!!!

I started with this company in January and have never had anything done with my mortgage. No one will ever return my phone calls! Then when I did get a hold of this Dino to tell him its been 6months and nothing and that I want a refund he tells me it will take 7-10 days. Its now been about 3 weeks and still nothing, he says the review board is still reviewing it. Can someone help!

ripped off $1200
i was going to file for bankruptcy through jackson-crowder. i paid $2000 up front. i was able to better my situation without having to file bakruptcy, and jackson crowder tried to keep the whole $2000. i told them that i would spend another $2000 taking them to court if i had to, but i would make sure they didn't keep it. when threatened about suing them, they refunded only $800 of the $2000. GOOD LUCK... if there is a way to get the rest of my money back i sure would like to know.

ok, new news to everyone who is involeved with this firm. the attorny general has stepped in and has been keeping more than just a close eye on them. they are trying to get some or maybe all some $ back. were i am in ny, the local attorny had everything involving his cases taken by the court, so they no longer have a representative here, as he will no longer deal with this firm...they give you the run around and are NOT lawyers in your state, so they do not know local rules. so thier advise is not correct!!!!

Contact the Fl State Attorney General as well as the State Attorney General in your state. This company is a scam and do not care about saving your home!!! About 30% of the clients actually receive modifications and of those most of the plans are second rate because the company cares more about closing cases than getting good plans for their clients. If you are thinking of working with this company RUN FOR YOUR LIFE and request a refund. Do a charge back because they will more than likely never refund you. You can secure a modification yourself. Contact your mortgage company and ask for the making home affordable paperwork. If you need more help I am here. Sorry to those of you who have been through this.
New Horizon Law Center
I am working with what I thought was New Horizon Law Center but the fax header has Jackson Crowder on it, which obviously raised an eyebrow. We have already given 1k to these people, we have all our paper work together, but I am very leary that we are not only going to lose the other 1k but our home as well...
Lesson Learned
After consulting with these people, I wish I had a physical address on them. I would take vaction and go see them. Unfortunately, they will not give you a direct answer when asking for a physical address. I also requested a refund 4 months ago and to date no response, in addition to my lender assessing over 8k of fees to my original mortgage. I'm pretty much back at the beginning with purchasing my home. All of the addtional payments at the tune of 100.00 monthly are gone after five years

You can do your own loan modification. Don't go to an outside company for help. When you give your lender your financial information tell them that you need time to write it down. Then make sure you take 2 pay stubs do the average of your income make sure your bills stay positive. IF you are negative every month they will say you can't afford your home. do not think that negative is good, negative income is bad. Keep at least $200 positive a month. If you make to many car payments, boat payments, or you have have a expensive pocket. YOU need to stop! your lender will not accept your excuse for luxury items and or having to spend money on camps for you kids or high price clothes for them or yourself. TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR INCOME. and your lender will approve you.

They are not a law firm. There is no lawyer in the office, its a processing center, and they have the telemarketers in another room telling you about the fresh new start program that you may qualify for. HELLO.. if it is not your lender saying you QUALIFY FOR THIS PROGRAM. you DON'T qualify for anything, all they do is take you money $2000 which you should of taken that money and paid your mortgage. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM WHEN THEY SAY DON'T MAKE ANY MORTGAGE PAYMENTS. you NEED to pay your mortgage payments or you will go in to foreclosure. OMG.. people really.. don't you get it.. if it is not your bank... they can't really help you they do nothing to get your a deal. they say in your CONTRACT no GRANTEE so why do you complain when you don't get what you want.

Do not believe this posting. It is almost certainly done by either the Scientologist Funder Rick Bishop or the Scientologist Funder Brent McDaniel, who was fired by this company. Only they would know the personal cell phone numbers of Ms. Caldwell and Mr. Dillon. It is unethical in the extreme to post people's personal cell phone numbers and you should know from the fact that this was done the low caliber of the person who posted this. Bishop and McDaniel are starting their own modification company and THEY will certainly rip you off. If you really want to do business with Scientologists you should read the expose in the St Petersburg Times about scientologists and how they treat people!!
Wake Up People!!!
Ok, Whomever's posting these negative and out right lies about Jackson Crowder are just evil ex-employees who could not do their job. Ex-owners, whom almost wrecked the company, or clients, whom thought by lying to the firm, hiding debts and not returning phone calls, are just angry they did not get a free ride.
If you HAVE a mortgage, you OWE the money!! PERIOD! This firm, with all the correct information and honest answers about a clients situation, will work their ass-off to assist in saving your home. I have seen first hand, people get loan mods to go on to save not only their home, but hundreds of dollars a month, up to $900.00 in some instances.
It is said, in the first conversation with the paralegals, you cannot go on shopping sprees and spend all the money you are not paying your mortgage company. You are to hold this money to then be able to place a "good faith" repayment followed by some smaller payments to prove your worthyness for the actual loan mod. When the paralegals call the clients 2 to 3 months later and tell them they can get a 5% reduction on their mortgage loan, the clients then tell the paralegal they do not have the funds available because they blew the money and now blame the very people who worked months negoiating a program with the lender.
As for the $2000.00. That is called a retainer, just like every single attorney worth their salt request for the services they supply. They are real people doing your loan modification and deserve compensation, just like every American worker, don't you think???. All This is?? typical company bashing. When a growing company weeds out the bad seeds, the bad seeds, instead of seeking new employment, sit at home and bash their former employer. Take a look at the biggest companys in the world! Google them, like you did this time. Pepsi, Coke, GM, they all have their nay sayers. This law firm will grow and always give their clients the utmost respect, understanding and the service they need during the most trying times of their lives.
Oh, and one more thing! just to put the icing on the cake.... It is widely known that other law firms try to emulate our customer service record and applaud this firms ethical practices.
So there you have it. The truth finally told. No Sciencetology, no witchcraft, no boggie men.
Jackson Crowder, Crowder Law Group, WDR (washington Data Resourc
Jackson Crowder, Crowder Law Group, WDR (washington Data Resource) so on and so on...
The company has changed names 6 times, they had FBI agents come in the office. Inform Tyna Caldwell and Chris Dillon their employees were committing felons. The company has the wrong name on their license on the wall of the door. So when you call rather then here a law office name. You will get Legal Support Services.
The negative post that you read about the so call "firm" are not lies but the truth. Some Employees ran for the lives rather be evolved in the mess. The paralegal's not one person in that office is a certified paralegal. They just higher their employees from craigslist, with customer service experience.
Its a shame that the way things are going today with the economy. This company would continue to lie to potential customers. They were saying to their clients that the money you pay $2000.00 would be going towards your mortgage. when the feds came in, the manager in the telemarketing room swiped all there scripts.
To make sure no evidence was found. They had all the telemarketers go home for about 3 days till the cost was clear for them to return. They will continue to post how great they are but in fact, there own employees crap themselves everyday. Wondering if today is their day to get fired for not doing a great job in lying.
Did you know that when you enroll, they need all the money paid up first before they can move forward with your loan modification? If, and employee gets the loan modification done before the payments are done. The employee will not be spoken to but yelled in front of everyone. Because now the customer does not have to continue paying. If you don't make enough money they wont tell you that you don't qualify they will say yes you do. (IF YOU ARE NOT WORKING ARE RECEIVING UNEMPLOYEMENT, YOU CAN AND WILL BE REJECTED BY YOUR BANK) only because unemployment is not permanent income.
I dare you to call your so called paralegal's ask to speak to your attorney. Do you know your attorneys name, I hope so. Ask to speak to them now, not later, ask not to be transferred to a voice mail. Ask the attorney what has been done for YOU so far. You do know that the attorney gets paid $100.00 for every case they accept, and telemarketer get paid $50.00 for every sale they make. Attorneys are only selling the use of their names. Then if you want to do a bankruptcy the attorney then will actually work with you. Now he has to either help you keep your home or clear your bad debt.
Chris sits at his desk downloading music from illegal websites. Tyna will have her 17 year old daughter working in the office contacting banks. Serious.. you know the saying right? you get what you pay for.. its best you call your bank or a local attorney in your area and speak to them about helping you. if you can not see your attorney in person about your loan modification I say run.. run for dear life...
its all about the $$$$

Here's the truth about the situation: The mitigation services
Here's the truth about the situation:
The mitigation services that Jackson, Crowder & Associates (AKA Legal Support Services) provides are 100% legal. The moral implications do NOT matter. They can and will be operating for a long time. I understand some of you feel that you have been ripped off, but it is not true. Here's why:
You paid $2000 to a company to ATTEMPT to mitigate a mutually beneficial payment plan with your bank. And that's it. You hired them to TRY to work it out. Success is NOT guaranteed and, if you enrolled, you signed a contract that says as much.
1. Did they make the program sound sweeter during the initial call? YES, it's called a sales pitch. They have a trained group of salespeople selling you hopes and dreams. It's just like a car salesman telling you the car was owned by a little old lady who only used it to get to church on Sundays. Would you believe that?
2. Could you personally negotiate with your lender for free? YES, but most of you have been ducking calls from your lender because you are embarrassed to have not paid them for so long. Most of you are glad to simply pay someone else to deal with the problem for the privelege of not doing it yourself! Pick up a phone and keep your money!
Think about it like this. You owe your Mortgage Company $3000 in arrearage, but instead of paying them, you hire another company for $2000 to try and help. If the Mortgage Company refuses to make a deal or payment plan, you could go into foreclosure. Wouldn't it have been easier to just pay the Mortgage Company $2000 and work out the rest of the $1000 balance?
So, anyone that wants to say they were ripped off is wrong. The company is doing legal BUSINESS. And that's what it's all about is BUSINESS. The company is not stupid, they are not going to do bad business if they know they're going to get caught.
As for me, I was recently fired from the company after having worked there for 3 years. I spent a year doing Quality Control/Refunds and 2 years being Customer Service Supervisor. As Supervisor, I worked with some great people! There are some very good customer service reps there and they work hard. They are completely overloaded with work, but they do bust their butts to try and get a payment plan for their clients.
I recently stepped down as Supervisor since the company was going through a tough time between switching owners, the Federal Agents coming in and shutting down sales for 2 weeks due to licensing issues and my own personal issues (Car died/Scooter broke down/looking for a place to live)were weighing me down.
I knew that by stepping down, they would eventually give me the boot. I would never have quit. I was holding out for unemployment. And when they fired me and said it was due to the company downsizing, I was granted my unemployment compensation. Which is all I really wanted from them. . .
So, there is no love lost between the company and I. However, when it degenerates to this level where ex-employees, ex-owners and current employees are backbiting and giving out each other's personal information on random websites, I have to speak my piece to make you all understand that Legal Support Services is operating within the boundaries of the law and is doing no wrong. For some of you, that may be a bitter pill to swallow, so if that stinks going down, I'm truly sorry.
But, if you have any questions about the company, the morality of it's business practices or anything else, post it here! From now on, I will be checking this site to see what's been going on.
truly,
D.D.

TAMPA (CN) - Mortgage and "foreclosure relief" companies backed by a law firm took thousands of dollars from customers who ended up in worse shape than they started, the FTC says. It sued the Crowder Law Group dba Legal Support Services, 11 individuals, and Washington Data Resources, and Optimum Business Solutions dba Attorney Finance Services.
The Federal Trade Commission says the defendants steered their victims away from free programs offered by lenders and suckered them into spending thousands of dollars on programs with cheerful names such as "Fresh Start Program" or "Hope4Homeowners."
In its federal complaint, the FTC says the defendants marketed their junk services as federal programs that help refinance mortgages or restructure loans. The defendants contact victims by sending postcards that tell them they are "pre-qualified," and when they hook a customer, they charge a $2,000 "loan modification fee," and send an agreement between the consumer and an attorney, according to the complaint.
As is often the case with such scams, the agreement tells the victim to have "no client contact with lender," and tells the sucker to refer all calls to the attorney. But the customers find that they cannot reach anyone who can tell them the status of their "loan modification," the FTC says.
The agency says Washington Data Resources and Optimum Business Solutions contracted with attorneys in several states to place calls to consumers to explain the process. Other than the telephone call, the attorneys have little if any involvement with the consumers and are paid for each consumer they agree to accept as a client, the FTC says. The defendants repeatedly fail to obtain the promised loan modifications.
The FTC seeks rescission of contracts, restitution and injunctions.
Washington Data Resources is a Florida corporation; Optimum Business Solutions is a Nevada LLC dba Attorney Finance Services; Crowder Law Group fka Jackson, Crowder & Associates dba Legal Support Services is a Florida corporation. the only way the FTC contributes to taking money out of people's pockets is by allowing a scam like this to still do business.eventually when they receive enough complaints they will act against this wonderful company.invoking the FTC.now i've heard everything.
All you do is lie, and lie and lie about how honest you were wit
All you do is lie, and lie and lie about how honest you were with your employees. Bull they hired ghetto people and people with records. LOL omg, seriously they lied so much they don't even know they are lying now. The place was a joke, they demanded money up front, they made people starve because they did not want to reduce clients fees. Sales noted files who the hell is telling these people they can change there fees. you guys are screwed they got you admitted they got you.. and you want to continue the lies... they have access to all your files they will see what does not add up. some employees tried to do the right thing by the customer but you would get yelled at if you did.. it was all about how much money they can get. they never cared if someone lost their home, they would say oh well.. when a customer wanted to complain tyna and chris would not take calls... they would go on there many smoke breaks leave early, go for long lunch. people had to sign in and out to use the bath room.. lol people please... you got burned admit it.. they froze your money.. lol

From now on, I will be checking this site to see what's been going on. truly, D.D. |
Dino you are still going to collect your unemployment. You don't have to keep lying you know ass kissing. The company has been shut down by the FTC. That is because the company and you know this, was stealing, lying to "customers". You remember the review is going to refund you... oh yeah.. there is such thing as an review board. . however, you did not have a problem telling these clients they were going to get a refund by the review board. when the person that was doing it was "CHRIS DILLION AND OR TYNA CALDWELL".
lol enjoy your unemployment and shut up!
FTC wont lie

You dare to say that the "GOVERMENT" is lying? what do they have to gain about taking a company down that is taking money from people. You know the truth yet you all hide from the truth. You know that sales department would say anything they had to say to get the clients checking account number or credit card number. You know that the customers I hate saying customers because they were not customers.
Sales department had to do a income and expenses report. They would add money they did not have just to make them look like they qualify. Then you wold turn around tyna , chris an others would say they "the customer" lied about their income.
You had employees lie about there income make them look like they had money they did not have. then you again turned around and said no they lied to us.
but I guess if it makes you feel better to lie then to say the truth then so be it. it was the customer that was lying and not Jackson crowder.
Now... Tyan and others how does it feel that your asset have been "FROZEN" how does it feel not having any MONEY LMAO.... what comes around goes around... you put the customers in hard times now the FTC is making you feel what it is not to have any money.
I sit here and I laugh and laugh... because now you TYNA and CHRIS don't have a job.. don't have a business to run.. LOL
you can't boss anyone around, you can't scare anyone about not having a job...
then froze your account and your husbands account YOU though you was going to be slick trying to hide money.. LOL ... but they go you.. LOL and you went home crying like a little bytch!
You thought that BRUCE was going to save your ass by buying the fake law office ... and it back fired, I do hope the government sticks it to ya really GOOD...
Happy Ex employee.
Happy Holidays (Bruce man in the big red suit)

I wonder what the people who lost their homes feel about you not being in business. I'll bet they are just heartbroken. This is the 2nd time the company has been shut down in 2 years. Now, there have been 6 name changes, and that time we got shut down by the ag commissioner several months back... did you forget that?

If they got shut down from the FTC yes i am proud. its about time these types of companies get shut down. It is sad that people are loosing thier jobs, but isnt it sad that they stole from others? common sense tells you which is the lesser of the two evils, and my guess is the employees knew they were stealing from people so shame on them.
sorry you lost your job, but like a few posts up stated you will be able to collect till you can find another job hopefully one that doesnt steal from others.

LOL... Yes, I am enjoying my unemployment! But I am enjoying recent events way more.
Well, Tyna, I tried to tell you that morning... EVERY person you ever trusted has stabbed you in the back. And the people you always should have trusted were the loyal ones to the end.
Who knew you would screw things up so badly? When Rick was running things, they never got this bad for anyone. He was smart... until Optimum. It's hilarious that you thought you could run a company! Well, in a way you did run the company... into the ground! LOL
Enjoy looking over both shoulders until sentencing!

As another former employee, I'm having fun trying to guess who all is posting on this board. Hi everybody!
Personally, I think it's about time this company got shut down. Although I'm not 100% sure what JCL was doing illegally, there is no question in my mind that the way they operated was unethical. It's called preying on the weak. Management was ridiculous and totally unconcerned with client welfare. The thing is, the job market is so horrible in the Tampa area, that many of us honest folks had no other choice than to work there to keep our heads above the water financially. I know I was jumping for flippin' joy when I was able to leave, because it killed me to keep side-stepping client concerns and doing almost nothing to help them.
It's sad that there are still probably hundreds of companies like this seeking to profit from the desperation of others, but like D said -- It's business! It's capitalism! We're not socialists (...yet), so it's dog eat dog out there and crud like this will happen again. I just hope the people wrapped up in this mess (both clients AND management) learned something from the whole ordeal.

I ove it! I just emailed the FTC and told them I will tell them EVERYTHING that this company has done over the last few years. They emailed me back quickly and we set up a meeting in Tampa. I am so glad I printed out full client lists weekly and kept them all these years. I also have all my materials and memos from "management" instruction us on how to deceive our clients. Also tips for more effective results when refusing a refund... oh, the list goes on and on...
Remember when the Customs agents came in and all of a sudden, Chris Dillon started loading boxes of files into a truck to dispose of. You can't hide it, Chris! You hid Brandi's ugly face while you were with Laura, but you cannot hide the truth!! LMAO. He's lucky to escape prosecution... Chris, please clean your ears and brush your teeth before you go job hunting.
I will let you all know how the meeting goes. . .
