I noticed on my TU report that there are 4 seperate entries for Cavalry Portfolio svcs (each with a slightly different account number. All 4 say, Loan type: Return check; Remark: Placed for collection 08/2003; Original Bal and OC is the same for all 4. Also the same is the estimated date that item will be removed: 07/2010. Cavalry has never contacted me about these checks and I don't remember writing them. I am afraid to call CA and ask them. (CA's have proven to me not to be trustworthy.) Should I just dispute them online and see what happens? If I dispute it online and it gets verified, do I have to wait until 7/2010 for it to disappear from my CR? Does the debt/entry really ever go away? Will/Can Calvery just sell the account to another CA, starting the 7 years all over again? What is the best way to handle this situation?

I'm not sure. It's the only way I know and it's worked for me.

Count is right, they can get it put back on, but I personally have never had anyone put something back on my report.

I have 3 collections in my Regular Inquiries. This is only with Trans Union. I spoke to Trans Union about them to remove them that I did not iniatiate them. They told me I have to call the police dept to file a police report.
I admit I did have problems back in 1987? Over 20 years ago. But can the CA do hard inquiries over 20 years????

Trans Union is the only one that gives me problems with my credit report
Thank you for your responses

Trans Union was the easiest for me to get anything deleted or removed.?? Here's the thing, you have to send your dispute in writing.?? Your not saying you were a victim of fraud.?? You're just saying it shouldn't be on your credit report.?? There is a form letter on here somewhere that you can use to dispute it.
