Okay so i borrowed $250 from outback bucks i payed a total of $310 off and they continued to take money out of my account so i closed my account over a month ago and today they called me that i owed $350!!! and if i did not pay it they would garnish my check! can they do this?? what is their intrest rate???? I NEED HELP!!

By NM payday law the most they can charge you for a $250 is $38.75 and no rollovers are permitted.

They also have to offer a payment plan.

My best guess is they are unlicensed in NM. I did not find them under a licensed finacial lender in the NM database.

Since they are not licensed they can not take you to court and sue you for a granishment.

A rollover is when you pay a fee to keep the loan at the same amount you originally owed. The fee can range. They basically take out the rollover fee every payday, forever, but none of that fee goes towards the loan amount.

The is not allowed in NM.

From what I have read the loan for $250 should have been paid off with $288.75 so you are done paying them.
