Well some ZIP, Loan Point and Red River are illegal.

The PA law states that a lender must be licensed in at least one state and they are not.

I would go back to your bank and explain that they are unlicensed and illegal and you need to close your account as you have paid them in fees well over the amount you legally owe them.

I was just on my way out and will be back with more information but other members may respond with help as well.

Hang in there. :)

In the mean time see if you can find the names of the other companies.

Magnum Cash Advance - Legal in DE, BUT they are really located in the Britsh Virgin Islands. I had a loan with them and counted them as illegal and they settled with me.

Biggest-Cash.com (aka Red River), Illegal

Loanpoint USA (debits as centurion fund), let me check more. I think they are illegal but if they are licensed in at least one state they are legal.

Cashnet USA - Legal, Contact them to make payment arrangements. They are pretty easy to work with.

Zip19 (debits as northway financial) - Illegal

Integrity Advance (iadvancecash) - let me check more.

Again, since you have illegal/unlicensed loans I would go back to your credit union and talk to the manager. Tell them that you have paid these loans in full according to the law but they are still debiting your account.

If they won't close it then ask if you can turn it over to a deposit only until you can clear things up.

I live in PA as well, after 2/1/09 the laws changed in PA and payday loan companies must be licensed in PA to be legal, this only applies to loans taken out after 2/1/09.My loans were taken out before the law change and the old rule applied,to be legal in PA the loan company had to be licensed in any state...I had 5 payday loans and I have paid off two with payment agreements,I owe $100 to the third and the 4th I owe $440 but they take a payment plan of $100 every two weeks till it is paid off after 4 1/2 more payments. The 5th gave me such a hard time, sent me to collections and will not validate my debt..I was in the same situation you are in,I owed $2700 all together,it sneaks up on you,you certainly do not intend on getting into this trouble.
Take a deep breath and tackle the problem. Were your loans taken out before or after 2/1/09.We need to check if they are legal.
I also had my account at the credit union.I went in and talked to one of the managers and told them the companies were taking all my money and that they were taking unauthorized amounts and on unathorized dates.Which they were doing and thet are doing to you or they will start doing. They had me sign a form revoking authorization for the two companies that were doing it and I had to pay $15 each to block them from debiting my account. The Friday they were unable to the withdraw money they sent me an email to call.I called and one set me up a payment plan $200,$200 and then $100 to pay it off and I paid it through moneygram at Walmart.
CASHNETUSA was one of the companies I had,I called and told them the money I owed for the fees would not be available on Friday for them to withdraw, they first offered to withdraw it another day but I asked for a payment plan, they did not let me that day but I called another day and they agreed to $218 withdrawl for 3 paydays[every two weeks] and that paid my account in full.
I had a horrible situation where I was using my tax refund to pay these loans and I had them all set up to be paid and my income tax did not arrive as scheduled and all of my payday loans payments were returned to them unpaid,I think when they see the payments returned they are more apt to work with you.
I had Integrity Advance also, their withdrawl was returned I called and they told me they were having a special and I could just payback the $500 I borrowed by the end of the month in 1 payment, whick I did after my refund arrived.
Is there any way you can access your money before they get it,Like my direct deposit arrives Thur afternoon and I can get to the bank and get my money Thur eve and then when they try to debit Friday there will be no money to debit.Let your bank return the debits to them although they will charge you a fee and block them from debiting your account. Some people here hard block all ach/debit transactions from there account.Tell your bank they are illegally taking money you did not agree on,they will stop them. You can also open an account somewhere else and change your direct deposit to another bank..Read through all the info on illegal lenders and closing your account above in the stickys.
I had called the PA dept of banking and a nice woman there told me about a Better Choice Loan that some credit unions in PA are offering to help those involved in payday loans. It is backed by the PA dept of banking and you can borrow up to $500 without a credit check.I did take it one and I am paying back $179 a month for three months, the application fee is $25 and $50 goes into your savings account for after the loan is paid off.The interest was less than $20 for the loan.
I would try to get my paycheck out of the bank before they do,so you can take care of your family and then try to make arrangements with the legal lenders. If they are illegal only the principal is due minus what you already paid.It is hard to tell if they are legal unless you can check the dates you took them out,see above illegal lenders sticky..

Cashnet was 2/19, Zip, Magnum and Red River were in March. Integrity and Loanpoint are older. Do you have a copy or link to the law change? I'm thinking they are not licensed in PA and if that's so, then maybe I can legally get out of the 4 newer ones. If I was knocked down to just the 2 I can make arrangements and get them under control.
Thank you so much for your advice. For the moment at least, my heart isn't pounding.
