What's wrong with Wells Fargo?

On Tuesday, I went to Wells Fargo and tried to open the College Checking account but unable to get approve due to my credit history. However, they let me open the account which is called Opportunity Package (second chance account), they gave me all the paperwork and helped me to deposit $100 in the account. Then today, I received a letter from Wells Fargo said that they will be closed my account because of the information from ChexSystem. I thought I was approved and it went well since they even offered me College Credit Card. What should I do? Does anyone have the same problem with me? :( :(

I searched the web and found that the three major banks that are denying checking account application because of poor credit history are Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Citibank. Although opening a checking account is not the same as opening a new line of credit, these banks have decided to perform a credit check for deposit account customer just as they do for credit card customers.

have you complained to the manager of the branch that you went to??? You did what the teller told you to do, helped you do it, and now they say "sorry, no"??? I don't think that is right!
