Non-ChexSystem Banks or Credit Unions in Los Angeles county?

I owed Bank of American almost $3,000 due to the bad check that someone gave me.  It happend when I was 17 years old.  I tried to negotiate with the bank but it didn't help.  I also reported my case on ftc.gov  but didn't hear anything from them.  Now I really need a checking account.  I wonder if there's a non-chexsystem bank or credit union around Los Angeles county?

When looking for non-chex banks and credit unions, CA is the hardest state IMHO .. near imporrible really. there are a few options there but it really depends on what your chexsystems report says. Does it show fraud? How old is the report? There are some banks that will approve you regardless of where you live and they do not use chexsystems at all, but they would not be local to you.
