Don't feel ashamed.?? Alot of people here are in the same or similar situation as yourself.?? I am not an expert on payday loans but I think it would be easier if you listed where you got them, how much you got, what you have paid on each.?? This way someone else might beable to advise you better.?? For now, take a deep breath and take one step at a time.?? It takes time to get out of situations like this but people have done it and you too will be able to do it.?? You may even be further ahead than you know.

I have felt too ashamed to talk to anyone about my problem and my post above was my first time. Would posting a list with the stuff you said really help I haven't even been able to tell myself how much I have paid in fees I just know it will be several thousand dollars? I did borrow the money from each of them and they all told me how much extensions were etc. and I have a good job and want to pay them all back its just I cant because having to pay 12 extension fees every two weeks eats up my almost my whole check. I don't think they did anything illegal I just made many stupid choices and want to try to correct them before its too late and its getting close. Your words made me feel a lot better especially after getting 7 "reminder" calls today about extension fees I have to go pay tomorrow and will get 4 or 5 more of them tomorrow for my Wednesday appointments. Thank you so much!

requires Internet based pdl's to be licensed by your state First of all, please list the following information so we can help you.
-Names of each pdl company.
-Whether they are store front or Internet.
-How much you borrowed.
-How much you paid so far.
I'm sorry to tell you this, but there is only one sure way to stop the withdrawals, and that is to close your account. If that isn't an option, then tell the bank to put a hard debit block on your account. Before you close your account, read this information at the link below. http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/close-account.html
Please do not let any of these pdl's know you are going to close your account, until AFTER you have done it!

OK, I'm sorry, I just realized that your pdl's are all store front, please bear with me because I am having problems getting around the forum and posting, everything seems to be going in slow motion. Anyway, do you know if any of these store fronts are members of the CFSA ( Community Financial Services Association of America ), if you don't know you should try to find out because that will mean you will be able to obtain an EPP (Extended payment plan).

An extended payment plan will stop the interest from accruing and allow you to pay off these loans in 4 equal payments. I realize with 12 that will be difficult to do but you could do a couple at a time until you pay these off.

There are no like non profit credit agency's that help people like me? That was what I was really hoping for, something like that were they could payoff all my loans for me and I could make monthly payments plus reasonable interest to them until I got it paid back over like a 6-10 month period?
Thanks again! I will gather the info you listed and post it soon

Have you tried googling a Consumer Credit Counsiling Service in your area? Just make sure they are non-profit, they usually are, also check with the BBB about them to make sure they have a good track record. I used one once and they were an immense help to me.

I will look for one near me. I just wonder if I would qualify for a loan and if anything would go on my record or something like that like I said things like that could cost me my job.
p.S.
Shazzers I saw how many posts you have and I just want to say thank you! Wow you must have helped so many people and without asking anything in return. I appreciate your time and effort it is truly inspiring!

The best thing for you to do right now is communicate with your lenders.?? Some legal lenders are much quicker to act than others so if you could list your store front lenders we might be able to give you some insight on which one to deal with first.?? If you have lenders that are CFSA they should offer an extended payment plan.?? Unfortunately some of your lenders are just going to have to wait until you can make headway with the others.?? This is where the communication factor comes in.?? Stay in touch with them and let them know you have a plan in place to pay them back.?? The only way to get out of this mess is to make payment arrangements with the ones that will work with you.?? Showing good faith and making an effort might keep some of them off your back until you can get some of the others paid.?? You need to get yourself out of this cycle.?? Secure your bank account first then contact each lender and go from there.

I live in Arizona and have had multiple payday loans. I could never imagine paying the extension fees for 12 different loans. This is what I've done - and I work in the financial industry as well - call your bank and close your checking account. If your checks are 'lost/stolen' then they will issue you a new account number and deposits are automatically forwarded to your new account while all debits are rejected. Make sure you get a new check card as well because I know a couple of the PDL lenders here in AZ ask for that when you get your initial loan. This way they have no way to get access to any of your funds. Then, as posted above, some will be faster to act than others. Pay them off first and let the other ones wait until you can pay them. Keep in mind that PDL's in Arizona ONLY have civil remedies. Arizona Revised Statues do not allow for criminal penalties for payday loans. Good Luck!

Since you work in the financial sector how can some get the banks to close their accounts?
??
Some customers have a very hard time getting them to close it and they rack up tons of NSF fees.
